Cams
We have been constantly improving, testing and developing our own custom airboat cam grinds for several years now. By dyno testing, pitch testing and most of all actual testing in the field with our own boats! In 2007 alone we have tested over 8 different custom cam grinds with three different cam manufactures we have gone from leaps and bounds to now chasing 2 or 3 HP. WaterThunder Performance has settled on two grinds we prefer! The first cam is the best all around performing grind yet on the dyno and in the boat! In a LS GENIII motor with the right combination and matching components this cam will swing a three 78'' blade Maximus beyond the 3rd mark over 5,600RPM and still have broad power and snap. We also put allot of effort into a smoother idle so your rigging and rudders don't rattle along with that dreaded big cam gearbox rattle! We call this grind the Broad Stick! $330

If you like to race and turn your motor a little harder or like the sound that tells everybody something nasty is on the way we offer a bigger grind that produces it's peak power just a little higher in the RPM range! We call this grind The Big Stick! $330

Push Rods
When running a GENIII or a LS motor or any motor in an airboat especially if you run a larger camshaft or increase your valve seat pressure you should get rid of those cheap welded OEM pushrods. They will deflect and they will fail! We buy push rods in bulk and pass the savings on to you! These are 4340 Chrome Molly one piece seamless .080 wall pushrods! $120

Timing Chain
In an airboat a part that has far more loads and forces placed on it then the factory planned is the timing chain. Especially in the GENIII and GENIV LS motors. The stock chains are weak and Frankly scare me. They are a small single roller with plastic guides and some have hollow roll pin guides. If you owned an old standard tranny SBC you probably realized a manual transmission wore a chain out much quicker then an automatic. Now picture a giant 80" inertia wheel behind your motor that is constantly banging against the timing chain every time you give or let of the gas. This will ruin a cheap timing chain in no time! A timing chain upgrade is a must in a airboat! We use a High quality Cloyes Hex-adjust timing chain for easy cam phasing! $170

We also offer an upgrade to a double roller chain. There are a couple to chose from, but only the Cloyes Double roller allow the front cam sensor to work. All require a little customizing before they will work on an LS engine. $195

Hydralic roller double valve spring kit
Complete kit comes with Gas Nitrided double valve springs, Titanium retainers, valve locks, valve seals and spring cups. Springs can handle up to .650 lift. $290

These valves are for sever duty motors that require a sever duty valve these are Ferrea stainless valves 2.02 int and 1.57 exh. all 16 valves $250

Sever duty shaft mount rockers
These rockers are designed for endurance and performance they utilize massive 3/4' diameter shafts. The Ultra-lite shaft rocker has 50% less nose weight of other shaft roller rockers. They fit under standard rocker covers with no further machining required. These rockers are available in 1.7 and 1.8 ratios and use only high quality torrington bearings. The rocker body is machined from high grade aircraft alloy and the roller tips have been precision machined. The rocker arms have been balanced to with stand the aggressive loadings at high RPM's. These new Ultra-Lites will provide optimal results for LS engines provided the right valve springs, proper pushrod valve train geometry is in place! $410
